MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS
The classic and ever-popular Music in the Mountains returns this summer with a wide variety of music genres with something for everyone! For more details about the free concert series check out the Big Sky Arts Council Website and our blog post outlining the dates and lineup.

ARTS
In addition to the Music in the Mountains concerts, the Big Sky Arts Council has many art offerings for Big Sky Summer Events.

Summer Art Classes Begin on June 7th. There is an art class for everyone – all ages and stages! Pottery, painting, collage, mosaic, and textile arts classes will be offered!
2022 Big Sky Artisan Festival on July 2nd. The Festival will take place in Big Sky’s Town Center and will feature a wide range of local and regional artists. You can meet and greet with artists, watch live artist demos, purchase original works, and enjoy delicious treats at the food trucks at this free event!
Big Sky Plein Air Paint Out with Nic Fisher from August 6th-7th. Join Bozeman plein air artist Nic Fischer for a weekend of painting one of the most captivating landscapes around – the Big Sky area of the greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Artists will be immersed in the Big Sky landscape and will spend the weekend outdoors working independently, sharing ideas with fellow artists, and receiving one on one instruction and guidance from Nic.
Bravo! Big Sky Music Festival on August 6th. Join the Arts Council for the second night of the 11th annual Bravo! Big Sky Festival, a free concert in Len Hill Park featuring the Big Sky Festival Orchestra and the Rhythm Future Quartet!
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks: Twelfth Night on August 8th. Join us in the Big Sky Town Center Plaza as we welcome this renowned theater troupe for their annual performance. This year’s selection is Twelfth Night, and the 5:30 p.m. outdoor performance is free and open to the public.
FARMERS MARKET
The Big Sky Summer Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from June-August from 5-8pm. The Market will be at fire pit park, along Town Center Ave and into Town Center Plaza in Big Sky Town Center. Go to enjoy local produce, crafts, cuisine, enjoy Facebook LIVE performances played through the venue’s sound systems from various artists, family friendly activities, and much more!
WILDLANDS FESTIVAL

With Jason Isbell Friday headlining on August 12th and Brandi Carlisle on Saturday August 13th, the Wildlands Festival cannot be missed! Produced by Outlaw Partners, the second annual Wildlands Festival will take place at the Big Sky Events Arena in Big Sky, Montana with the iconic Lone Peak as the backdrop. This exciting music event will bring people together who have a mutual love for wild and scenic lands, outdoor recreation, parks, trails, and the enjoyment of what makes this part of the world special. BIG SKY PBR

“Built from the sagebrush up, the eight-time award winning Big Sky PBR has grown into “Big Sky’s Biggest Week” – a week of community events including three nights of action-packed Touring Pro Division PBR bull riding, fundraisers, vendor village and more.”

Friday, July 22nd: 7pm Bull Riding begins, 9:30pm Tony Marques Band
Saturday, July 23rd: 7pm Bull Riding begins, 9:30pm Hayes Carll

THE RUT
The Rut is a three-day Montana running celebration from September 2nd-4th. Come cheer on the athletes as they complete challenging distances on beautiful Big Sky terrain!
